Kate Skillin, PA is fantastic. She takes the time to get to know you as a patient and understand your needs. She will make sure you are comfortable and explain everything you need to know. She is funny and easy to talk to. I would give her 5 stars for the care she provided.The reason for the 4 star is the recent $50 "administrative fee". The office will probably loose a lot of patients because of it. I chose to "accept it" because of the care Kate provided, if it wasn't for her, I would definitely look for another provider.
Need to fix phone system - I called to make an appointment and I was put on hold for half an hour with the most annoying graphic repetitive messaging about elective services. Finally got to someone, got disconnected. Called back left a voicemail and no one ever returned my call.
While I truly appreciate Dr. Skillen and would love for my daughter to continue seeing her, the overall experience with the office has been frustrating. We've had nothing but positive interactions with Dr. Skillen herself, but the office staff and their customer service leave much to be desired. On several occasions, they mistakenly scheduled my daughter’s appointments as pregnancy visits. This practice implemented an admin fee for certain services, but gave you the option to opt out by giving them a call by a certain date . I called numerous times, always on hold for 15+minutes and never speaking to anyone. I sent them an email asking to opt out of this charge, no response. I was charged the fee anyway! Still unable to reach anyone by phone, so I sent a message via patient portal. Still no response, but just saw that they deactivated my account.
