Dr. Stephen Rockower had absolutely horrible bedside manner, was rude, and when I explained my situation and previous medical history, I was told he didn't care. I was told that I needed to be "treated" first (there was no diagnosis) with PT, a brace and anti-inflammatory medication for 3 WEEKS (mind you, my injury had been going on for 4 weeks already, and he was made aware of that) and then "we would see" about getting an MRI at my 3 week followup. Dr. Rockower is an excellent Orthopedics surgeon. He made the right call on both my knees when I injured them in two separate occasions and got me back to 100% without any surgery. With my wife he diagnosed a broken elbow when two other doctors had missed it. There is no question about his communications skills, manners, professionalism and skills as a surgeon. Great Doctor always listens and is concerned.. Dr R operated on my knee years ago...surgery was successful..he has helped with back pain and referred me to a pain specialist several times...he is a great sports ortho doc
