Beware of these scammers! I asked how much it would be for a simple gear adjustment (1 by 10 Shimano system), the guy said £50 but it could be more "depending on what they find". I simply laughed, said "no thank you" and left.
I asked the price of an item, but it was a little more than I was expecting so I said I'd come back but thought I might have seen it cheaper online. The guy became rude and asked how much my life is worth.
Best bike shop in St Albans: friendly, great advice, helpful AND they sell good bikes.

I nipped in to the shop on a Saturday afternoon on my way out for a big ride. My bike had an extremely annoying rattle wanted to see if Rock and Road could do anything about it. The gents stopped what they were doing and helped me diagnose the problem and then they fixed it for me on the spot. Fantastic service and saved me having to listen to a rattling noise for 4 hours. Thank you
