Excellent care from the doctors and nurses..just way understaffed ...night especially. 20 minutes minimum to answer the call bell.
I'm still here... This is the best hospital in Newport News.. Staff is always on point no matter what department... They take pride in caring for their patients �
I was there to visit my sister who had open heart surgery. I had that comfortable feeling that my sister was in the good hands of the Riverside staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful and attentive to my sister. Thank you Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Riverside was notably fabulous in caring for my son and his croup. I had left a Med-Share "quack-in-the-box" location earlier that morning without assistance for my son, but received exceptional care by the doctors and nurses at Riverside. They were thorough, empathetic, and prompt to respond to his constricted breathing. Thank you April, Dr. Osborne, and others!
I felt well cared for by the hospital staff and my surgeon. The pre-op, surgical and recovery room nurses were all excellent. I stayed overnight for observation. The first nurse I had seemed a little overwhelmed and it took her about 30 minutes to come in to my room after using the call button twice. Thankfully I had my husband with me, but there were times we needed her and waited longer than I felt was reasonable. I was there to visit my sister who initially was in ICU but then went to Neurology. She received superb care and was transferred to a Rehab today. She was in the Pavilion. I would recommend the unit highly.
The staff went above and beyond to make sure i was comfortable.
Sad... three days later still leaving in pain. Overly frustrated.
My dad has been there since Thanksgiving morning 2016. Everyone has been AWESOME!!!!!!!!! We cannot thank them enough all the way to the cleaning staff. Omgoodness! So wonderful for the family not to have 1 more thing to worry about.
