I don't think I can thank Dr. Kaz and his wonderful team enough...I suffered for over 4 years with an undiagnosed foot condition - Northwestern Orthopedics said i needed arch supports; Lincoln Foot and Ankle said i needed foot exercises and steroid injections. By the time i found Dr. Kaz my foot was in terrible shape. Dr Kaz suspected a torn planter plate, and recommended an ultrasound, by in his opinion the best radiologist in the area, Dr. Kinkaid. He seems to be knowledgeable, but not all that great at explaining realistic expectations or outcomes. 2nd doctor I've seen at ibji and the 2nd doctor that's thrown a tantrum when I've asked for better explanations.
I would definitely NOT recommend this doctor. Husband went in for a sciatica shot from him. That didn’t give him any relief and pain was actually WORSE after. Went in for a follow up and said the results of an MRI said he had a herniated disk. When we asked what a herniated disc was exactly, he said a disc that was herniated. I said explain that to us in plain English. He actually couldn’t. He said it dissolves. When asked what that means – if it actually dissolves or moves back in place, he couldn’t tell us. Dr. Shapiro listens and work with the Patients to get them on the road to recovery. Cristina his PA goes above and Beyond to get all paperwork and progress info to all parties requiring updates.
Called to make an appointment due to a fall. Got scheduled same day. Arrived 30 min u tes prior to appointment and knew I would have to wait because they were adding me in. Had a very good visit and the Dr. And staff were so nice and took great care of me.
Dr. Weatherford performed a total ankle replacement on my husband. It is 4 days later and he has little to zero pain. A good surgeon leaves their patients with little pain. I find what he did miraculous and it was one of his hardest cases to date.
She flew in and out of the office only speaking to me when her back was to me looking at my xray. No explanation of proposed treatment. I literally had to ask her to wait before leaving the room so I could ask a question. I was treated rudely by the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute when I asked a question about my bill. I was charged for a 45 to 59 minute office visit. There is no way I received that total time. Made me wonder if they are maximizing insurance payout. I will never return there.
I get regular injections
Doctor Logue is a great doctor. I have had two knee replacement’s and shoulder repair by him. I would recommend him 100%. I trust him and his staff to the fullest. Best orthopedic doctor around.
