I had a total knee replacement revision done in 2015 due to some really bad complications as a result of a previous knee surgeries and a knee replacement done by other orthopedic surgeons. I was not able to walk very well and was in constant pain. Then I met Dr. Ritesh Shah from Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, my orthopedic savior! His experience changed my future. He removed the old knee replacement and gave me one that corrected my problems. Everything is still great 3 years later.

Dr. Shah is an excellent surgeon and Doctor in general. He replaced my hip in 2012, finally ending six years of pain I had been experiencing after another surgeon did a very poor job in two previous surgeries six years prior. He did not just jump right into recommending a hip replacement until all other less-invasive options had been tried. In 2014 Dr. Shah also performed two knee scopes due to my having a torn meniscus two times in two different locations four months apart. Very patient Dr!

I had my right knee replaced in 2014 and my left knee on July 25th. I have complete confidence in Dr. Shah. He takes the time to explain your procedure and answers ALL your questions and concerns. Both procedures went as planned and I have better quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Shah.

his expertise and thoroughness in full knee replacement was vital to my quick recovery and increasing range of motion in my knee. He made sure the MRI and X-rays were used to design a "new knee" that would fit not only my leg, but my lifestyle as well. As an athletic individual, it was important for me to find a surgeon who understood my goals and personal outcomes when seeking the prospects of returning to a quality of life I had lost. His PA Kathryn is incredibly knowledgeable and caring.

I had minimally invasive out patient total right hip replacement on Jan. 2, 2018. the surgery was a total success. Additionally, the recovery has been a breeze. Besides being a highly skilled surgeon, Dr. Shah and his staff are extremely professional, courteous and easy to work with. I give my strongest recommendation to Dr. Shah

I have nothing but success from the hip replacement performed by Dr. Shah on Dec. 12, 2017. I have returned to work in 5 weeks. There was no pain and I am completely satisfied with the outcome. The speed of recovery was remarkable. Stairs were not a problem from day 1. Needless to say, I feel wonderful and would definitely recommend Dr. Shah to all my family & friends. Thank you, Dr. Shah, for getting me back to enjoy my activities and life.

Dr. Shah replaced both of my hips. My experience has been horrible. They have NEVER been on time for an appointment - usually at least one hour late. Return calls are unheard of. You must leave several messages and many times just make an appointment before you will get any type of response. He did not set realistic expectations on recovery from my first surgery which directly affected my home life, as we had to reschedule some trips and hire more help. Overall, customer service HORRIBLE

Dr. Shaw performed hip replacement surgery on both my hips, 6 weeks apart. I found him to be very personable, professional, and caring. He was interested in getting the best possible outcome as soon as possible. I am extremely pleased with both the process and the outcome of both surgeries. His Rapid Recovery Reality approach is refreshing to me and shows that he thinks about the patient from the first visit thru the final stages of recovery, not just the surgical procedure itself.
