After many years of working in restaurants in San Francisco, Tom and Linda McElroy dreamed of opening their own shop. In 1988 they decided to move to Seattle, with their two young children in tow, to make it happen

10 – Machiavelli has consistantly solid food, a fun atmosphere and the best veal parmesian in the city. It is everything that a neighborhood joint should be!
Love it! – I love this place. The food's great and very affordable, and sitting in the tiny, crowded bar drinking cheap Chianti is the best way to get ready for a night on the town.
