We found this diner on line while we were riding motorcycles in the area for the weekend. Rick welcomed us from a across the street before we even got off the bikes (he also rides). Chatted briefly with him him and immediately found he was a take it or leave guy ... I’m good with that and enjoyed the small talk. Would have liked to talk with him longer, but a rush flowed us in so he was busy in the kitchen. We did get to see him interact with his staff which was entertaining in itself. Had the catfish platter, fried green to... read more

I had the jambalaya and it was boring. It had absolutely no spices and the best part was the little piece of bread that came with the meal. I had the collards and they were terrific..

Craving home cooked Cajun. Stopped by Rick's White Light for the first time today while in town for business. Met Chef Rick and his team. Loved all the memorabilia and photo album of Guy Fieri's visit for Dives Diners and Driveins. Had the special Soft shell crab poboy with remoulade and side of fried green tomatoes. Excellent!!! Beignets to top it off perfectly. I'll definitely be back and would love to have their famous eggs Benedict. Thanks for a great lunch. Til next time...aiyee!!

This is a special place! We walk up and was immediately greeted by Chef Rick. Everyone there was so friendly, you just felt welcomed. The food was amazing! I had the sample platter and It was so tasty I could not pick a favorite. My husband had the White Light Diner Cajun Burger and it was wonderful. Then we tried Fried Asparagus, WOW! We even got to chat with Rick, which was a real treat. We're from D.C. and we'll be back!

The food was good, but overpriced. Could've been more clean, too.

Business response:

Thank you for your remarks. When a restaurant has locally sourced food products and seafood from this country only, not China--the menu prices will be higher. When the restaurant is a "scratch" kitchen, the menu prices will be higher. My question is, with whom are you comparing us to?
