Always my lunch stop when I am in Frankfort and I must say, I try to avoid coming to Frankfort on Mondays cuz I know Rick's is closed. Love the food - oyster po' boy, Cuban omelette and today - deep friend asparagus with horseradish sauce! Quirky atmosphere that makes a person dining solo feel part of the group!

This place was recommended by a friend (a serious foodie) and some customers who raved about the food & Rick. The place was old school on the inside and we sat at the bar. Friendly staff and they explained all the options. I had the crawfish etoufee over grits and garlic fried potatoes. It was top shelf! I tried the deep fried asparagus with horseradish sauce and I almost regretted the potatoes. Almost. I will order that the next time and there will be a next time. Rick was there and very engaging. Rick's is as advertised!

I had to have sauce to even eat it. There was no smoke flavor at all to the meat tho there is a smoker outside of the buliding. No red smoke ring even on t... read more

Went with a friend to the diner and ate crawfish pie with hush puppies. The pie is delicious and the hus puppies where the best I ever ate. A place to recommend

Just ate here for second time. Wonderful experience and food both times. Felt compelled to read some other reviews first. First, portions are a good size. Maybe not the behemoth, bland portions that corporate chains push on an increasingly overweight country. Second, price is relative to quality and source. Gladly pay a little more for fresh, local or produced in the USA. Third, the staff is always friendly and not in a staged, have- to kinda way. Lastly, and most important, Rick. He is a character. He is engaging and straig... read more
