I saw this dr. for depression, I was functional before I saw him and kept the same job for 25 years. After seeing him and going on the medication he perscribed me, I completely flipped out and quit my job. I will never forgive him for this. his license she be revoked

Dr. Minter and I get along very well. I find him to be determined to help me get a good outcome. He is not a "chatty" doctor but he is indefatigible when it comes to helping me. Don't expect a lot of personality but DO expect excellent medical care as long as you are willing to try and work with him. Best Psychiatrist I've ever seen.

I was mis-diagnosed as bipolar II. I have disthymia and GAD. The Lamictal didn't seem to do anything for me, but I can say he was willing to wean me off of them when I gave him my opinion and requested to go off of the medication. Yes, this doctor and his staff are strange. Monotone is the best way to describe them - devoid of personality. They aren't inefficient or incapable; just strange. Building is not handicapped accessible. I would avoid this doctor.

I have seen Dr. Minter for several years. Before him I saw 4 different psychiatrists. Dr. Minter has made a significant change in my life, treating me not just with medicine but kindness & compassion. He has always been quick to process FMLA papers for me. He has always been accepting of family members input. I have never known him be anything but a soft spoken, gentle man who cares about me. Arrogance? Rude? Not the man I know. I can't believe my doctor recommended this guy. He and the office staff are incredibly weird. He is only about giving meds. Does not talk to you about your issues. Spends about 15 minutes with you with superficial talk, mostly about your meds, before bringing in the next patient. He also misdiagnosed me with a mood disorder. I do not have a mood disorder, I have clinical depression. Will not sign off on Family Medical Leave paperwork. Had to go back to my family doctor to get it signed. Avoid at all costs.

Do not waste your time with Dr. Minter. He misdiagnosed me in 5 minutes. He is very rude and uncaring.

If you care about your health or that of a family member AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! He might actually have you do really well on your meds but guess what? a few months later he'll switch your meds or stop them all together for no apparent reason! just like other reviewers have noted! He’ll treat you with Fish Oil, yes you read this correct, he'll stop writing you prescriptions for the meds you've been doing well on and put you on FISH OIL!!!! Misdiagnosed as bipolar 2 disorder. Thank God I had the sense to go to OSU for second opinion. Dr. Minter argued with me and hung up on me when I asked him to fix his records.

He decided to change my medication and "ween me off" of welbutrin in only a 4 day span. He replaced my mild welbutrin with a sedative for people with Schitzophrenia (I am a manic depressant) that literally slurred my speech and made me intolerable. I called dr. minter twice to let him know that this wasn't working for me and he was the most uncaring individual I have ever encountered. He did not care at all that the meds he prescribed were making me suicidal. It was very unnerving. How unprofessional.
