If I could rate Dr Minter higher I would give him a hundred stars. He listens, asks pertinent questions and takes all of your concerns into consideration. I am extremely sensitive to medication and he gets that. He doesn't push a dose or medication that is right for most people but looks for what is right for me.

He has helped me a lot. He's not a psychologist, he's there for medications. My visits are often short and concise. He seems to know exactly what I need. I trust him.

Highly intelligent, and thorough. I instantly hit it off with Dr. Minter and he was very receptive to my questions and concerns. He was able to immediately determine what was causing my symptoms, and made corrections to my medications. Those out there blaming him for anything negative do not understand the role a psychiatrist plays in mental health. They are not supposed to be a "talkative" person, that is what psychologists are there for. They are there to assess your wellbeing via root cause analysis and diagnosis, and to ... read more

Wonderful doctor who listens to you instead of telling you what you feel and are going through. Unlike many doctors I have seen in every field he responds to questions and ask questions beyond "so how does that make you feel." Praying he doesn't retire anytime soon.

I am saddened to see negative comments. Doctor Minter has helped me to improve greatly. When we first met I suffered with severe anxiety and depression. Today, I can function well enough that I began college at 50. I thought there was no hope for me because I have been to over 10 Psychiatrists and not one of them got me to the perfect combination of medication. I feel confident out of my home now and I love to be around other people. My, all the years I missed out on. That is why I have stars of excellence for him and his st... read more

I tried Dr. Minter for several months thanks to a recommendation from my psychologist. The first thing you should know is that Dr. Minter is a bit strange as is his family who work there for him. He's a bit cold, very awkward, possibly it's autism, but be prepared for it. My therapist had been impressed with how good he was listening to his patients, I didn't really experience him as a very attentive or thorough man personally, but he did take notes and lightly discuss my situation each session (I have PTSD). I was hopeful h... read more

I am stunned by some of these reviews. Sorry for those who have had a bad experience. He has been treading me for a mood disorder for a number of years and helped me feel so much better. He is NOT a counselor, but seems very thorough in discussing my issues and symptoms and side effects at each visit. We have worked together to get it right and when I have called with any concerns, he has always called me back immediately. If you are looking for personality and a trendy looking office then move along! ! They are an unusual g... read more

The review from 1/30/2011 looks pretty suspect. Probably office staff (family members) logging in and leaving reviews to boost the doctor's rating. All this doctor does is prescribe medication. He does not talk to you extensively and get to the root of the problem. Isn't that what a psychiatrist is supposed to do? These people are really strange too. I felt sort of uncomfortable.

I called his receptionist (family) to ask for a new prescription because my pharmacy incorrectly told me I didn't have any refills. When the miscommunication was resolved and I got the medicine his receptionists called me and very rudely and condescendingly reprimanded for asking for a new prescription. I called Dr. Minter back to notify him that such an inappropriate call would have a dangerously negative reaction (suicide, etc.) for someone worse off than myself he said(paraphrasing)"you have been irresponsible since you c... read more
