When you take your child to acute care for a possible broken bone you expect to be seen now. Hospital policy is to make an appointment for later in the day? Ridiculous! What's the point in having it here if they aren't actually doing anything?
It shouldn't be so difficult to get someone to return a phone call or get good care. Seems to me this hospital has slipped further down.
I went to the urgent care clinic this morning and was seen very quickly at the front desk. Even though I was thinking I was going to be treated for the flu, ended up being bronchitis, I was immediately taken back to the treatment area. The staff were all very friendly, courteous and respectful. X-ray taken, 2 shots, and prescriptions filled in barely an hour. Thank you for your service!
Dr. Akaka is the best MD ever. What concerns me concerns her as well. She follows through and will personally call to let you know she cares. RACH rocks!
My appointments are almost never late. I arrive on time and get in on time. My doctor takes the time she needs to talk to me and make a decision on what I need for that appointment. Back when we had an emergency room I went in (with a real emergency) and was treated quickly and sent to a specialist the next day. I haven't gone to the urgent care clinic as I have not had a URGENT medical problem that could not be taken care of during normal business hours. By the way been here since 1996.
