Prepare to pet, feed and photograph both adult and baby reindeer at Anchorage's fascinating Reindeer Farm. Gentle and tame, these "deer" are accustomed to visitors and are very friendly. Owner Tom Williams actually grew up on this beautiful farm and transformed it from a dairy farm to a reindeer wonderland in the late 1980s. Today, visitors can also marvel at elk and bison, and can go on a horseback ride up up the nearby Butte.

RecommendedWe visited the farm during a short stay in Alaska and it was one of our favorite tours! Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly and we were able to interact with animals we've never seen before. We had a wonderful time!!

Today I attended the 11am tour and it was truly an unbelievable experience, one that I will forever hold near and dear to my heart! The staff was terrific and very thorough with everything they were explaining, which I was super appreciative of! The entire experience was very relaxed and I never felt rushed, which was great! I'm a huge animal lover, and you could see the endless amount of love the reindeer and Rocky always receive, and that spoke volumes!
