Prepare to pet, feed and photograph both adult and baby reindeer at Anchorage's fascinating Reindeer Farm. Gentle and tame, these "deer" are accustomed to visitors and are very friendly. Owner Tom Williams actually grew up on this beautiful farm and transformed it from a dairy farm to a reindeer wonderland in the late 1980s. Today, visitors can also marvel at elk and bison, and can go on a horseback ride up up the nearby Butte.

Backyard tour was fun. Fed the baby reindeer and the adults too. Visited with the moose and yak. Got a nice history lesson about the Colony project that brought farmers to Alaska during the Depression. Learned about reindeer and maintaining the farm.
Visited on 6/17/18. Thanks so much Andrea for the wonderful experience from feeding Joy to filming Big Red and those massive Antlers. I really had no idea I would be able to actually get in the pen and feed the Reindeer!! I loved every minute of it!!!
Easy trek to Palmer and easy to find. Absolutely stunning location and views. Feeding reindeer awesome experience as they are just adorable and gentle. Lots of information provided by the guide. A few other animals also on the farm including Cody the herding dog.

RecommendedStaff were fantastic and treated our family very well. They even saddled up a horse for our son to take his first pony ride. Awesome place to visit!
The reindeer were adorable.
Always a fun place to visit. We enjoyed the animals, especially the baby reindeer. My oldest and her friends had a blast on their trail ride.
