Prepare to pet, feed and photograph both adult and baby reindeer at Anchorage's fascinating Reindeer Farm. Gentle and tame, these "deer" are accustomed to visitors and are very friendly. Owner Tom Williams actually grew up on this beautiful farm and transformed it from a dairy farm to a reindeer wonderland in the late 1980s. Today, visitors can also marvel at elk and bison, and can go on a horseback ride up up the nearby Butte.

This was a great way to start our vacation! Besides our cheerful, knowledgeable, and funny guide, my teen son and I also totally enjoyed feeding and petting the reindeer. We live near Yellowstone, but guarantee this was also the closest — actually petting (!) — we’ll ever be to elk and bison too. And to get to kiss a moose?!? That made my year! LOL. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great backyard tour! Even though I have lived in alaska my whole life first visit. Great customer service. Loved that I got to pet my first moose! Thank you for the awesome experience!
This old couple had a blast. The reindeer were so friendly and cute. our guide was so knowledgeable and obviously loves her job! A fun day!
It's nice for the kids to get out to, and they have great events for the whole family. We try go every year, sometimes more if we can.

We had such a great time here and learned so much. Our guide was able to tell us all the history about this beautiful farm. We highly recommend the extra money for the backyard tour as you get the one on one experience. So worth it. They really care about this farm and all the animals. We will definitely be back! 5 +++ stars
