The worst place to buy a car. When buying a used Tahoe we wanted it certified, which they did. 12 hours later our transmission went out. After going back and forth about them fixing it they agreed to let us back out and refund our money. A week later we're still waiting on our refund check and the refund to our credit card that was used in the purchase as well. Customer service here is beyond awful. I am on my 3rd new BMW so obviously I love the vehicle. Quality service is dependent on location. Typically I have taken my car to the North Austin location and the service is good although there is some attitude especially with some of the attendants. I am sharing this to make others aware of an ongoing issue that I have been experiencing following the recent purchase of my 2020 Corolla Hatchback in June at Hendrick Toyota of Apex. Rick Hendricks Chevrolet unprofessional behavior/ethics failed to communicate information that caused me as a potential consumer wasted time and money. Purchased a new 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Duramax on June 25th 2020. After driving off the lot with only 19 miles on the vehicle, i had to call on June 28th with issues of it feeling like to rear end fell out from the truck. Service told me it was a recall on leaf spring bolts not being torqued to spec. (Remind you i am in MB with my 5th wheel RV by this point). Was told it should be ok until I returned. I bought a new 2019 Jeep renegade in October. I was involved in a car accident and my jeep was totaled. I was shocked to find out I didn't have gap insurance nor was it offered at the time of purchase. I know have 8k of negative equity I am responsible for paying. How does a car dealership not offer gap insurance on a brand new vehicle. I'm screwed now because I can't get financed for another vehicle.
In December 2019 We bought a "Certified Pre-owned" 2018 Wrangler with 3k miles (more on that part later). During the negotiations we were offered one price in writing, and the that guy disappeared not to be seen again by us. Bunch of crooks! Drove two hours on a Holiday weekend to look at a new car, after making sure they still had the car 2 hours before my appointment time. I specified how important my time was and that I had to change my work schedule. They pulled a BAIT and SWITCH after trying to sell me another used car for over $10,000 more and proceeded to waste my time and say the car I was meant to look at sold early that morning.
