I lost 2 packages from amazon! They put my package on the ground of entrance in my apartment building without any notification.😞😞😞😞😞😞

Renter beware! Prior year long resident. Everything went well in the beginning but as you settle In You’ll realize you’re getting ripped off. Over priced apartments for under value amenities and quality of life. Car break ins and thefts are a weekly occurrence here. Tight limited parking will leave your car scratched dinged and dented and no notes saying please contact me. You’ll never keep a clean car here. We do have prior residents with similar names but we had not received negative feedback during our check-ins with them. Our community may have been mistaken for the other community named Deerwood in southern California. Terrible appartments. I lived here for a few years. They raised the rent at least 300 dollars per month every year. I think they raised it 500 dollars which caused me to finally move out in 2016 or 17. -First off when I moved out I cleaned this place down. Heavily steam cleaned the carpets, wiped down the walls, and generally left the place in pretty good condition. They charged me an extra 300 dollars on top of taking my entire deposit. -Sounds travel through walls and floors a lot -The pipes clog and other people's water b... read more

If I could give these apartment a negative star, I would. We moved into The Brodie 08/2019 and signed with the old management, when we first came to collect our keys the new management had taken over. We were told we owed $300+ prior to being handed our keys, we explained we signed with the old management & had signed on a special which reduced the price to move in to $150/total. The management is very unprofessional, profit centered, and simply doesn't care about the living conditions provided to residents. What they show you during your apartment tour and amenities they mention are pretty much non-existent. DON'T FALL FOR IT! They don't protect their residents' property nor their residents truly! We pay extra fee for parking every month HOWEVER our vehicles seem to get towed at the same rate. Finding parking every night is atrocious especially after a long day of work. We really just wanted a safe and convenient place to live here in the East Bay but what we got was a complex that is constantly full of trash/dumping, transients breaking into cars/gates, and a management team that can't seem to get anything accomplished (while refusing to acknowledge the tenants or listen to their valid concerns). Please seek elsewhere to find affordable housing - it's not worth it to deal with this BS and feel unsafe in your own apartment. Equity Residential & Promenade leasing office staff is RACIST!!! First of all, maintenance takes forever to come. This is one of countless examples, but recently I emailed Melinda about my air filter needing to be changed (10 days ago). The next day, I was told they were coming. It has been 10 days and two follow emails which are still not responded to & NO MAINTENANCE! I have had several issues with neighbors and have been forced to provide proof for them to do something about it, but they did nothing and sided with the CAU... read more
