Just bottled my first batch, and I love it! Got my barrel just before Christmas, started the first batch Christmas Eve, and bottled it tonight. Strong oak aroma and taste, which I assume is because it's the initial batch, but otherwise fantastic! Batch 2 is now aging to be ready for Super Bowl Sunday. I can already tell more barrels are in my future...

I am a brewer and wine maker (though not an expert at either) of many years, so the idea of flavoring spirits seems just a novelty. But the idea of an aging barrel has a certain enticement because I know the effect he barrel can have on flavor, hence, I am a little excited about this Christmas present. The barrel is curing with water (and did not leak from day one - kudos), and I have the Kentucky Bourbon essence. Should I use Bacardi, or something else?

Aged a raw cachaça (Brazilian sugar cane alcohol) for 3 months in a 2L barrel and the results were amazing. The locals (NE Brazil) couldn't believe it started as an inexpensive brand and came out as a smooth whiskey. 2 L gone in very short order. We'll see how long the 2nd batch needs to get to the same place. 2nd barrel is going into pepper sauce aging this week. Looking forward to taste the results.

My wife bought me the 1liter spiced rum barrel for our anniversary. my brother in law and I had made some homemade tequila. We aged it in the barrel for a little over a week and it came out great! We will be buying more of these barrels! Thank you

I received a 2L barrel as a gift 6 months ago and it started to leak from the bottom stay . This stay had a bulge and crack. The barrel had been in constant use and not allowed to dry out. So forget about years of service!

Customer service is out of this world. They are very responsive and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of their products. Why can't more companies be like this.
