I booked with Real Joy Vacations for a 4 bedroom condo in Panama city Beach, Florida. I made the reservations on June 1st, 2019 for a vacation in the spring of 2020. The deposit came out of my bank account the same day. I had a no cancellation clause in my contract. On July 8th, 2019, they cancelled my reservations siting the unit wasn't available on my dates. I just booked a condo in Destin via Airbnb. When I looked at the final rental agreement, I noticed that the price Real Joy was charging was $250 cheaper. I asked the agent if I could cancel with Airbnb and then rebook and she said I would have to pay a $100 fee. I'm bringing my 65 year old Mom and 55 year old Aunt to the beach for mother's day. They are both school teachers so this amount of money is significant to them. The cancellation fee and rebooking policy is unfair.
