Lesson learned! If working through a company for your vacation stay....DO NOT use RealJoy Vacations. Trust me.....it was NOT a joy at all! In May 2023, I stayed in a unit at Mainsail in Destin and it was wonderful! And, we rented from an owner. Big difference! Once I returned from my girls trip in May, I booked a unit in the same building for our family of 6 but the one I previously stayed in was not available. This is the worst vacation rental management company I have ever dealt with. The rental property we rented in Panama City FL had a clogged sink and dishwasher. Within an hour of our arrival the sink backed up and sewage water began to overflow onto the floors of the kitchen and dining room area. This company was not responsive to our requests to move into another property during our vacation and only offered to refund us the minimal amount for the inconvenience. We partnered with Airbnb regarding this case and both parties agreed to compensate 30 % of the rent, for the nights affected. We processed a refund of $738.61 due to the leak. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and hope you understand we did everything we could under the circumstances.
A group of 11 of us arrived on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm to Hidden Dunes 601. At around 8:30 pm after just arriving 4 hours prior, we received a knock on our door from 2 of the front desk girls. They said to pack our bags because we are being evicted immediatly. The owner saw my husband on the ring doorbell with a cigar in his mouth. The owner was watching our every move since arriving. Awful experience. Pictures did not match the hair, chicken wings in pool, vape pen and burger pattie left in the yard before checked in. Broken furniture and broken glass in the restroom. Outdated wood floors that needed to be worked on and multiple outlets out. Sorry customer service when these items were addressed they were the owners fault not theirs even though they manage the property. Lazy fixes done while we stayed basically to shut us up. Never do business with these people if they manage the property.

Dirty & VERY dated. Pictures on line must have been touched up because they do not match in person. The balcony photo online showed a glass table & 4 chairs. There was no table & only 3 chairs. The dining table photo showed 6 chairs & there was only 4. You would have thought we were in a motel 6. Master bathroom had a dirty towel on the counter, dirty floor with boot prints & mold in the shower & lots of mold in the toilet under the lid. This company is no good. I left a room perfect and they got me with a 500 dollar charge for smoking with no evidence of smoking. stay away
**NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY** booked a rm at the summit in pcb rm 928, rm was did not look like advertised and had roaches, pubic hairs on floor used soap and scum all over shower, furniture was soaking wet for some reason and found used bubble gum and a RAZOR in my son's bed. we ask to be switched to a different rm and they did at 11:30 pm after they sent a on-call person to verify what we were saying as if we were lying and had sent pics. they have yet to respond on a refund just for that night, i am not asking f... read more
