DO NOT GO THROUGH REALJOY vacation rentals!!!! They are absolutely horrible!!!!! I beg you to book with someone else! Every other place we looked to had a flexible cancellation policy! We booked our vacation when there was NO restrictions and things were looking more positive. Of course our governor deemed Florida as a “hotspot” and is mandating a two week quarantine when back of traveling to Florida. Beware!!! RealJoy deserves a zero rating. Under no circumstances should you use RealJoy for your beach vacation. Do your homework before booking. You’ll find many complains regarding RealJoy’s unprofessionalism and unclean units. RealJoy adds on unnecessary fee for a worthless accidental damage waiver at $59.00. You do NOT need this so called insurance policy but you can’t complete the rental process unless you agree to pay for the damage waiver. TERRIBLE COMPANY - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM - you would think they would revise their cancellation policy due to a WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC! Extremely bad customer service!!!!! Doesn't call back or respond to my emails. This was baseball spring break trip with our school which was cancelled because covid -19. Others in the group received their money back and we lost over $1,600. Thanks Realjoy
BEWARE!!! DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I was forced to cancel a reservation more than 7 weeks before our trip for softball to due this COVID BS. This company refused to refund any of our deposit on $944 and refuses to offer any type of credit for future booking. Everyone else in our group (11 other families) received a refund from their reservations so I know this is not industry standard policy. After a dozen or more times trying to call them I finally had someone answer the phone today. They confirmed they wo... read more

Stay away from this company... they have the rudest customer service...they hung the phone up on my wife while we were trying to explain our situation... they also refuse to give refunds. We also have a couple units that we just purchased and they want us to use them but we refuse to have our name associated with them... they are stealing money... stay away!!!!

We had to cancel flights and our rental in Florida due to COVID and this company, Real Joy Vacations, refuses to issue us a refund. We CAN'T travel. It's not like we just decided on a whim to not go. We are bound by a stay at home order. We could really use this money but they refuse to help us. They have been rude and non-responsive. They are putting greed before customer service. Do they not realize the people they are treating this way are the people who will eventually travel again?
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY. Refused to issue a refund of deposit because I had to cancel our family vacation due to the pandemic, even though we cancelled months in advance. I was clear that we'd be happy to rent this house once it's safe to do so, but I'm not going to endanger my family for this vacation. Their response was indifference.
