Inconsiderate and rude staff. Misleading security deposit info.
If I could give a 0 I would!!! This place is so unprofessional and don't give a rats ass about their tenants!! They show you one apartment then move you into one that looks nothing like it!!! The apartments are so not worth the high ass rent they charge!! Bunch of rip offs scamming these college kids!!!
Benchmark Properties is a scam. They dig in the pockets of young students and do not deliver the proper living experience to residents. They do not care, all they want is the money orders.
I recently gave Benchmark a 5 star rating. I have had to unfortunately retract that and now give them a 1 star. I have rented from them for over a year. From before I even applied for the property I told them I had pets. I put the fact that I had pets on my application. I paid $400 in pet fees. Rented a 2br townhouse. I will say the unit wasn't the cleanest upon move-in. Had no other issues; all maintenance requests were fulfilled in a fairly reasonable time (though sometimes I did have to call and follow up). Left the place cleaner than we found it and got the full deposit back no problem!
These guys are legal crooks..RUN if you have the chance.. they stole my security deposit and told me to respond giving a false address.. yes court documents with a fake benchmark address.. lowlife credit card thieves do that
