We had a lovely stay at Green Lake Close in Burton on the Water thanks to RDC Short Stays and an instagram prize from last year. What a beautiful area and town. We had a lovely meal at The boxing hare , breakfast at Something cooking and some delicious flapjacks from . A lovely cosy property with a big double for us and spacious bunks for the boys. I have had such a wonderful stay on 2 occasions. Nothing was too much trouble, both properties I stayed in were excellent
Such a terribly disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable stay in a lovely location. The owners insist on an additional £250 deposit outside of the AirBnB secure process. The host provided us with 2 key safe codes, one for the main building and another for a 2nd smaller building. AirBnB have agreed that the host have provided misleading information, but due to this additional deposit there is little they can do to assist. Be wary of this company. They ask for a £250 deposit and are quick to withhold it. Their operations include listing on AirBnB but conducting financial transactions off the platform, which prevents AirBnB from mediating any disputes. While I refrain from sharing the detailed specifics of my situation (spare you the “he said” and “she said”), it's evident that there's a disagreement, with both sides believing in their own right. Had a lovely 3 night stay at Bringsty Coach House, Cheltenham. Walking distance to town, with an amazing Indian restaurant round the corner for eat in or take away. A real home from home with everything you need. Will definitely be back.
