I have been a patient here for many years. The doctors are very helpful, but most of the front desk receptionists are very unwelcoming, unprofessional, moody, impolite, impatient, not empathetic at all, which are all critical for their role at a medical practice. This is with exception for Ann-Marie & Tessa, who are much more speedy with their work, to the point & professional, and Ann-Marie in particular, has always been very helpful & empathetic.
After filing complaints about the receptionists and staff who behave in a highly unprofessional manner in a medical setting, something I’ve experienced multiple times: Three days after the onset of my symptoms, which caused a lot of pain, I got a doctor’s appointment. I was told I needed a blood test, and the test was scheduled for a week later. After doing the test, they said the results would be ready in one week. The lady who did vacinations for the baby was nice. Communicating with them on my and my sons medical records was a nightmare.
The reason for my one star review is due to the interaction I have experienced with the reception staff. The doctors, the Pharmacist and the nurse are professionals but the reception staff are at the lower end of the spectrum. They make you feel as if they are doing you a favour when visiting the surgery. They are generally rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional on most occasions. I’ve been moved to review as I’ve noticed a marked improvement in certain aspects of the practice. This relates particularly to the reception staff who are far more helpful and frankly kinder than previously. I’ve also experienced active contact regarding test follow up, medication review and reminders re vaccinations that I’m eligible for. I’ve been able to book appointments when needed and have found the drs and the nurse that I’ve seen to be both helpful and effective.
