Lovely place to stay at.
We stayed at the Retreat Lodge. Found it one of the best we have ever stayed in. The lodges are right on the coast but the beach is stoney and not easy on walk on. Lodge is well equipped but we ended up getting more mugs in the shops in Castle Douglas as only 4 were provided. Great sauna and hot tub. Thanks to Fiona for giving us such a great holiday.

A week in the very quiet location is highly recommended to anyone who only wants to relax or walk the coastline. The lodges are beautiful, well looked after and everything you heed is provided, except food.
