We smoke some of the best barbecue on the planet--pulled pork, baby back ribs, smoked steak, and smoked chicken. We make our own marinade, rub, and barbecue sauce, and we smoke with hickory cut right here on our mountain. Our Friday barbecue dinners have mountain music, bonfire, and storytelling. We're a small mountain farm with farm fresh produce, milk, cheeses, and free range eggs. My family and I, from Baltimore County MD., just stayed for 3 days and had the most wonderfully relaxing and tremendous time! We hiked to the summit and two of the dogs followed, guiding & protecting us; even charging the cows! Miss Mary is a beacon of knowledge and local history and so gracious. Not sanitary, safe or fit for guest. Cabins are nice the rest of the estate needs work.
My sisters and I recently had a girls weekend in the Asheville area. We decided to stay at Randall Glen, and I am so happy that we did. The farm is beautiful, the cabin was perfect, and the dogs... Just loved it. The proximity to Asheville allowed us to take day trips to the city, and come home to evenings cooking dinner and hanging out on the porch. We loved staying at Randall Glen! It is a working farm and you should expect to run into animal excrement, so be prepared and wear boots. The cabin was clean, beds we're comfey and plenty of room for 8 people. Our kids loved the animals and adventuring through the mountains. If you aren't the Queen of Sheba expecting a red carpet rolled out to you, 24/7 but want to learn more about farm animals and have an authentic experience, this is the place for you!

Excellent, professional owner and employees. Amazing accommodations. The owner has thought of all the necessities in a cabin getaway. I would recommend this lodging to anyone interested in a relaxing time away from home. The adults and children in our group thoroughly enjoyed our extended weekend.
