I am absolutely horrified by your baggage claim handlers. We gate checked our car seat and stroller. My husband waited patiently in a very hot area after the plane landed only to be told our 5 month olds car seat and stroller was going to come up with luggage. The attendant at the gate (@United) suggested we should have flown to our final destination because it was worth the extra $1K todo so and was not very helpful. He said “the baggage guys were too busy to unload the luggage so they’ll get it to you in baggage”. WHAT?! W... read more
RecommendedNice small airport with plenty of ammenities
It’s a great airport. If it wasn’t so far from home, we would probably use it more often, but the drive from Johnson City is way too long for us “seniors “.
It’s an airport for goodness sake! I’m just ready to get there!
The airport is clean and has pelromise. They continue to expand and have added restaurants and a few additional vendors. I see them as eventually becoming a competitive international airport (they already are with several European non-stops). Cons: the lack any light rail access from anywhere with minimal bus access, which means ridiculous car traffic. It also indicates (on the surface anyway) their lack of foresight in meeting the needs of the Triangle as it grows exponentially and light rail will become a central asset to ... read more
