RecommendedThe airport is nice. Alaska Air service sucked when going to check in no one was here. They say they’ll be in at three and flight boards at 435. Now departs at 515.
Tonight was my first experience here picking up my daughters friend. when pulling to the pick up area we were yelled at repeatedly to "move it along we couldn't park" while relying to ask where to park were told to drive circles around the airport until whoever we we picking up was out front. After about 10 laps we got the message she had her bag and was ready so we pulled in and was yelled at again to not call her over till we got further up and then yelled at again for stopping further up! 2hr delay to de-ice the plane. We are 7th in line at 20 mins each---Do the math. Why is there only one piece of equipment available? Shame on this poorly equipped airport.
#RDU can seem to handle the slightest weather.... planes have been sitting for an hour waiting to be de iced when the weather is around 40+!degrees with no ETA. Of course they did not share until we were on the plane and pushed back

One line for airport security...at least 30 people waiting...ridiculous....one TSA person”you don’t need to put that in a bend”...the next person, “you need to put that in a bend”....Take your jewelry(bracelets) off.....no, you can leave ‘em on....take your hat off—-no you can leave your hat on..which is it?😩
Usually a pleasurable experience flying in and out of RDU. Start of holiday travel this morning, 15 December. Expected the TSA lines to be significantly longer than usual, which they were. American Airlines completely dropped the ball. Kiosks weren’t operating properly and 2 gate agents walking around assisting the hundreds of passengers waiting in what turned out to be multiple lines. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any airport domestic and international. Rebooked out of pocket on Delta...no issues at their ch... read more
