RecommendedOur family has been flying more in the past year. We are happy with RDU; how they handle the amount of people who come through. Recently there was a flight cancelled due to weather. A lady came to the bag check line and asked if anyone was on that particular flight. She took all those passengers to another area to help them get rerouted. She was calm and pleasant. It was nice to see.
Awful airport with severe capacity issue. TSA line wraps around the entire departure terminal every morning while there's an entire other terminal not being utilized and under renovation for over ten years. Avoid if at all possible.

Sitting on the runway for over 30 minutes waiting for a gate at midnight. This is ridiculous and extremely frustrating.
Generally good airport. Fast and efficient but I think parking has gotten too expensive and late flights into airport result in long wait times at tarmac upon landing. They can do better.
I had a very bad experience today when I went to drop my parents to the airport. I had to drop three bags so I had to leave my car for 30 seconds. When I came back and asked the person that I was barely gone for 30 seconds and my parents are old, she told me to read the sign and then told me to get out of her face.
gate service is a joke. I fly a lot, and invariably there isn't anyone at the gate for the plane. wake up - it's like Mayberry
One Star. I do a lot of traveling. SLOWEST TSA workers I have seen in YEARS! It seemed everyone from ID checkers to x-ray and metal detector workers were running at half speed. And it was 6am. On a Sunday. It wasn't a "busy time". Every other person in line in front of me had to be screened twice. It's a good thing I don't have to go there very often.
