Had a great visit. We have been to at least 10 different Rainforest Cafe's during our travels & realize the waitstaff & employees are run ragged in these "kid friendly" establishments so we are always impressed with the smiling faces & amount of crap they are expected to put up with.
Great service!!! Friendly host and servers! Food was Amazing! Family enjoyed our visit!
First of all, I got to the restaurant at 4:45 and they said they don't take reservations (although there was a sign that simply stated "make reservations"). So the young lady said I needed to be on a waiting list. Okay??? So an hour and 20 minutes later, we were seated. Then the waitress took forever to take our drink and food order. Waited in a long line thinking it was the place to be seated just to be turned away to go to another line to check in for another 2 hour wait. Probably wouldnt have minded the wait, couldve walk the mall but everyone we encounted from the reservation check in to the people at the front taking names were very rude i figure the rest of service would have followed suit. Brought our granddaughter for dinner, drove 4 hours! I was told it was a two hours wait yet there were tons of empty tables!!! The reservation guy at the elephant was so rude & said oh well we have people who came Canada! Seriously!?!? We will never ever return to this restaurant! The food is subpar anyways but we came for our 2 year old granddaughter & we just hate disappointing her.
Ignore anyone working there at the elephant if they are rude. The magic is inside! Our server Kistopher was awesome and engaging! The kids loved him. Mark the manager was very present touring the restaurant and treating guest and doing and outstanding job managing! There is always a long wait so plan on doing some shopping. Grapevine Mills mall is a great place to shop. They were AWESOME! I even though they were busy, but they were able to take care of all our needs.
We loved it!! I have an 8 and 9 year old who had a good time especially since they are animal lovers!! Food was awesome. Can't believe we hadn't gone before.
Our waiter JB was by far the best! It was crowded and he apologized several times but ALWAYS came by and made sure we were taken care of. By far he had the most enthusiasm than anyone else. Downfall was the manager over his head set being rude to a Jennifer by telling her NOT to sit anyone else until they talked. The manager should of handled that better.
