No, not if they are not going to fully refund for SoCal Race. People are losing their jobs. This would be the time to refund for this race since it affect so many for one team!! Do the right thing Ragnar!!!
Ragnar cancelled the SoCal 2020 race and refused to refund the registration fees they collected. As a captain, I did the right thing that I was hoping Ragnar would do- I refunded my team because I can’t expect all 11 other members to commit to a race 12 months from now. As a result, I’m short $2k, with no guarantees that I can find a full team of crazies willing to do this event with me next year (that is, IF we even want to support this shameful company again...). Ragnar canceled the race and refused to refund the fees they collected.
Refund money for cancelled races!
Gave military spouses unviable options when thier race was canceled. They expect us to be able to committ a year in advance or to another race months away, when some of us won't be living in the same state anymore.
Ragnar refuses to offer refunds after cancelling one of their events due to Coronavirus concerns. They’ve only offered us to transfer our race credit to another race later this year or to waiver the fee for the 2021 race. As if it would be so easy? This took us MONTHS to prepare for logistically and we’re now expected to just pick another date? My teammates have their own lives. Ragnar So Cal scheduled for 4/3-4/4 was cancelled due to COVID 19 and Ragnar will not refund our money. 200+ teams with registration fees and volunteer opt out fees is a lot of money to hold on to. I will never support this race event again.
Ragnar is a company that profits off of others during this coronavirus pandemic. Please think twice before signing up for one of their events, especially during the next several months. If it get cancelled you will not be offered a refund and forced to travel out of state or wait for the event to come back a year later. Good luck finding a team of twelve that those options will work for!
The 2020 SoCal race had to be cancelled due to corona virus, which is fine - it was the right thing to do. The wrong thing to do, however, was refuse to refund our money, walking away with over a million dollars in unused entry fees. As of March 15, they're still taking registrations for other spring races that are likely to be canceled as well. Totally unethical. Find another destination race to enjoy with your friends.
