Exceedingly poor site design, and sellers like to charge ripoff premiums.
Proxybid can be a great place to get items, but you have to look at a few things before you bid. 1. if the premium is over 15% stay away the auction house is just ripping you off for more profit. 2. read terms some places hide extra shipping charges there as well as additional premium% if you pay with a CC? are you serious, YES they are another way for them to rip you off. 2A. look for packing, or handling fees, and per item fees (especially with firearms) as well as transfer fees some places will hit you for transfer of you... read more
Horrible site. Protects sellers at ALL costs . If you are a buyer stay far away. Seller says you didnt pay BANNED regardless of the reason. Seller doesnt send your items and they back the seller. There is no way to leave feedback so other buyers can see the shadyness of a seller . I spent maybe 10K in auctions over a 2 year period and then a seller tries to charge $25 dollar shipping on a small item and BANNED. The morons didnt even bother to look at my buying history to see I pay on time just a ban.

The pages are easy to use and to bid. Never have had a problem with anything I bought.
For the second Saturday in a row I can not enter several of the online agricultural equipment auctions. Last weekend I would have made a late model baler, mower conditioner and manure spreader bring 10% more than it did. Sellers beware!
I just spoke to customer service regarding a billing error and received no help. Buer beware I am being charged for artwork, I asked the rep if I ever bought art work befor . No Answer becausee it was always firearms. She said file a police report but we are charging you. I tried to resolve the erro to no avail.....
I just watched a coin auction which was more than suspect. The auction company had an inflated value on what was being offered and I noticed that someone always came in to bid from "the floor" half the value every time. This site has a strange way of auctioning and starts from some unreal number and then starts auctioning down. This site offers 3 auctions a week. Why don't they just post the reserve that they have on the item? Why try to be deceptive? Just not a legitimate site or policed poorly so I will not be doing busine... read more
