Our brand new 2020 windows look by far worse than our 2011 vinyl windows. DO NOT USE LAMINATED VINYL WINDOWS FROM PROVIA. Multiple attempts have been made to resolve the issue: Anthony Varcolla in customer service acknowledged that our product should have never left the warehouse. Relay where my doors are. A month ago they claim the doors are being made. Now they claim they have no way of knowing. So whos making the doors then???
Our experience with Provia has disappointing from day one. When the windows were initially installed, there was a gap between the sash and frame which you could see light through. We were told tthis was an installation issue and the windows were reinstalled but the problem was not completely resolved. A representative from Provia came to our home with the contractor present to further address this issue. Windows with internal blinds you can open and close without removing the screens every time
Windows are weak and flimsy. More than half the sashes has to be replaced after they were installed due to being cut at wrong dimensions. Both patio doors came with the top frame welds broke at the same spot. Provia was out 3 times for counter balances and still are not right. My windows are hour glass shaped and don’t lineup with each other. Shaveings from machining the windows still hanging in between pains of glass and channels. We installed a special order Provia patio door in my sister's home. We placed the order in May of 2019, we did not receive the door until October of 2019 due to numerous issues which the story kept changing every time we talked to our sales rep and the Provia sales rep. It was actually embarrassing that it was so hard to order a patio door and made us as contractors look incompetent. This door is WAY too noisy! :( Our contractors just finished installing our new provia endure door and window. While the overall look and features of the door are great, I could not be more disappointed in the amount of NOISE this door makes!! It is clearly a design flaw, as you can easily identify the cause: weather stripping placed between the door panels has a visible piece of vinyl or plastic in the middle of it that rubs along the top and bottom of the door as it slides. I love there doors and windows! In fact I love them so much, when we moved ( after a change in jobs) into our current house, the first thing we did we did was purchase whole house doors and windows. I especially love the spectrum screen door. This door is the bomb. When the weather is nice, I just flip the lock and pull down the screen. No putting in and out. It’s right in the door, sweet!
