Fantastic environment for when you’re struggling to cope a bit, the support on Dunham Ward is second to none, 24/7 access to a doctor even for your physical health, the groups are educational and informative. I felt safe, listened to, believed and understood. Linda, Nad, Beth and Jeanette are beautiful human beings. The nursing staff are so kind and empathetic, Goodness, Shaz, Angela, Lau, Sandra and Cheks are genuinely kind and warmhearted humans who have your best interests at heart. Nothing is too much trouble for any of ... read more

If zero stars were possible, I would give them. My sister was discharged from Priory while still unwell due to extremely poor communication and a lack of proper discharge planning. Our family was not involved or informed, which left us unprepared and under huge pressure to manage her care. This is unacceptable for a mental health hospital where patient safety should be the top priority. Patients deserve better support and responsible decisions, not unsafe discharges that put them and their families at risk.

I would highly recommend The Priory Altrincham. My experience there as an inpatient was professional, structured and genuinely supportive, with a strong sense of safety and personal attention throughout. Was an inpatient in May 2025 for my mental health and psychosis. During my stay staff made jokes about killing patients via guillotinés which can make patients scared for their life due to psychosis thinking their in a different era, jokes about giving lethal injections to patients that are misbehaving and jokes about rape and porn. Rude staff, terribly managed medication, staff sleeping on the job. Absolutely should be shut down.

Here goes so as for my rating of 2 stars this is because I found the facilities for the amount you pay to stay there was by far the poorest conditions I feel you should be living in the rooms were in poor condition abit of paint wouldn't go a miss as the walls were terrible the beds are of poor quality an so uncomfortable The ward itself was not to standard as it was filthy to a point I found I was cleaning it all the time As for the kitchen this was told that the facilities were for patents only an not there staff an they w... read more
