What a shambles our surgery has become! The reception team range from really helpful to absolutely rude, abrupt, arrogant & are clearly in the wrong job! They are there to help people, ill people, who should not be regarded as a nuisance to their day, or spoken to in such a manner that you wish you could reach down the phone & give them a slap up the side of the head! The Nurses and Doctors are very nice, however I find the reception team abrupt (almost rude). They don't close the doors during lunchtime, but if you walk in because doors are open, you get told they are on lunch. Not very professional - if you are on lunch and don't want to speak to patients, lock the doors! I had a query about a prescription, but was told to come back after my appointment, even though there were patients still waiting to be seen and no queue behind me. Unable to get through to the surgery, it just said user busy, then when I did get through I was on hold for 25 minutes for my call to be cut. Very bad service and the manager of the surgery doesn’t seem to care
This week, I used the ask my Gp service which is new to the surgery. It is easy to navigate through, nice not to be hanging on the phone for ages and for me was very efficient. My issue was non urgent but worrying. I had a call back within an hour and a same day face to face with the GP. Thank you.
