If I could give negative stars, I would. I have never been more let down by a gym. The staff treated my family terribly and were extremely condescending. We actually paid to buy out of our membership because we were so dissatisfied. My daughter like swimming so we have paid to have her continue taking lessons. However, when we went last week for the new session the rates had been increased by 60% without warning. Great staff, equipment and variety of classes. My personal trainer, Sammy, has been awesome to work with. Membership rates are very reasonable, I've never had to wait for a machine, even during peak hours.
Love everything about Prairie Life. Staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Great place to work out and take kids.
Prairie Life is a great facility ran by excellent people. I really like how they have everything under one roof. From child care to group exercise classes and even a physical therapist in house. I highly recommend Prairie Life to anyone looking to get a great gym membership in the Des Moines area!
Great facility, outstanding staff, reasonable rates. My hubby and I lap swim for our exercise, drives me a little bonkers when people swim without showering first but that's no reflection on Prairie Life...it's just gym etiquette, the signs are up asking for compliance, people are going to do what they do. Mango smoothies to die for and a swim suit water extractor that has changed my life. Third time member, Omaha, and twice in West Des Moines (moved away-then came back).
