I hedged on writing a review for a long time, but I felt that I needed to do so to help others understand the "care" that Potomac Psychiatry offers. I saw Dr. Portillo in 2016 owing to distress I was having. His diagnosis was both inaccurate and rushed. He spent five years treating me for a condition I did not have, and actively working to keep my mood low, rather than working to heal me. When I proposed alternative diagnoses he dismissed me. Does not stick to their own turn around time in communication. Waited a week and half to tell me there was an issue with a form that was supposed to have a 2 day turn around time.
It’s been more than 10 years and I can confidently say Dr. Portillo is hands down the best doctor I’ve ever had the honor to work with. He’s caring, insightful, thought-filled, ethical and really listens. I only wish there were more than 5 stars to give. Thank you!
