Porcini – Philadelphia is a small BYOB style Italian restaurant in the Philadelphia Metropolitan and Center City areas. The restaurant is housed in around 1840's coach home, they serve creative Italian cuisine and fresh made pasta. Expensive, mediocre food I don't recommend this one. The food is expensive and not worth the cost. Portions are relatively small and are somewhat bland. It's a BYOB so that part is good, but the whole experience is less than worthy of a letter home.

Porcini is ok, but service can be bad I came here for a work event and we rented out the top floor. The ceilings were low, and it made the small room seem even smaller. Food was good, but I thought one of the servers was extremely rude (i.e. the guest of honor was giving a speech and the server continued to loudly deliver plates... when asked to stop, he refused and said he had to deliver the food).

Excellent Italian byob If you prefer quality over quantity, Porcini is an excellent Italian BYO. They specialize in small plates which may be shared. You may order as many or as few plates as you want without being pressured into over eating. And the menu changes. The last time we were there on Halloween we had the squash risotto-yum. The atmosphere is cosy and the owners make you feel like an old friend. My only wish is that they served coffee.

Classic homemade Italian. So good! The chef and manager are so friendly and might bring out something special! The prosciutto is thin and the stuffed pepper is great. All the pastas are amazing.

Friendly atmosphere and staff. Amazing food and dessert. Kindly and creativity accommodated my gluten free 10yo daughter. Thank you all! Can't wait to go back.

One of my favorite Philly restaurants. Pollo Milanese is my go to, with an extra side of fettuccine.
