User review by yvet – The place is an elegenat little hide-way in SOMA. The perfect place to get special pampering before you swing into the nightlife of Bacar.
Comfortable and relaxing – This is the most comfortable nail salon I've ever been to. At the Polished Lounge, you get seated in comfortable chairs and they start you off with a warm shoulder pack. The personal attention you get at this salon beats all other salons. The staff is friendly and does a very thorough job. I can't wait to plan an event here with my girlfriends.
Nails for Males--Definitely a Must – The Polished Lounge is a haven for men and women. At first I was hesitant to get a manicure/pedicure but now I am hooked! THe technicians at the salon are all very professional. I am rough with my hands and have a bad habit of biting my nails. The staff at Polished Lounge made me feel very comfortable and showed me how to care for my hands and feet. They expertly trimmed my cuticles and hangnails. What a wondeful experience – The "Polished Lounge" lives up to its name - a warm and inviting salon that reminds me of a coastside B&B in Mendocino. I had my first mani/pedi here about 3 months ago, and it now has become a monthly treat to myself. Pauline and her staff go out of their way to make the experience comfortable and relaxing w/ many thoughtful perks such as warm neck/shoulder packs, soothing teas, and sweet treats. A quick way to de-stress and refresh . . .
Great Spot in SOMA – A bargain spa that gets it. Overstuffed chairs and bowls (not germy spa chairs) in a roomy country comfort atmosphere. Tables for manicures (no straddling a spa bowl like at one spot). No overpriced services (like the place three blocks up). You can bring a group if you wish. Your treatment will be thorough as owner Pauline has gone through the same experiences her customers have and has developed this shop. It may be a little out of the way for some but if you are in the area this is the place to go.
SoMa mani/pedi lounge provides satisfying services in fashionable, country-style surroundings. – In Short This adorable nail spa is a diamond in the rough, providing supremely relaxing nail treatments at fine prices in an otherwise style-deprived block. Flowery fabrics, plush chairs, candy jars and opera tunes make for a homey feel as conscientious techs tend to your fingers and toes.
