I have a difficuly time getting information from Polaris. My Rnger was apparently recalled for heat sheild issue. I contavted one dealership where I bought it and they said bring it in for replacement. I instead brought it to another dealer(closer to my home) and they indicated that it had already been replaced. Also contacted Polaris directly about recall and trying to buy noise reduction equipment. Response very very poor. Polaris customer service very poor.Accessories made for some models but same accessory not for other ... read more
Save your money and buy a machine the manufacture will stand behind! 2 machines now and I can't get anywhere with Polaris!
I purchased a 2011 Ranger 800 XP new in 2010 right when the new models came out. This experience has been a nightmare to say the least. There was a "noise" in the motor, when I took the Ranger in for servicing the first time I asked the service tech about it and was told "it sounds fine all these units sound like this." This dismissal of my concerns was continued until the extended warranty I purchased ran out and the "noise" became so loud that it could not be dismissed. Sold defective unit and have no urgency to fix it.
I bought brand new polaris 570 ranger,put 460 miles on it and the brakes went out. It was out of warranty,will not go back to dealer because of such poor service, took to a local atv/utv mechanic who is really good, he found that the left rear brake caliper came from the factory without a piston seal. Called polaris headquarters, they would not stand behind product. What if my brakes had went out while going down a steep hill,but i guess they don't care.
I have a Rzr 1000S 2016 with only 40 hours on it and its being kept for service at "Coleman" in Woodbridge, VA for service for the last 2+months because the seat belt speed limiter is not working and does not allow the SxS go over 15 m/h. I called polaris myself and talk to a rep. ( Dan ) and explain the issue here. The solution I was told is to replace the entire wire system in the rzr.
