Had a pinhole leak in a pipe. I cut a hole in the ceiling allowing ****** access. It was a Saturday, so he charged $195 for the weekend fee, which I could swallow because it was a weekend. But then, he replaced a one foot pice of pipe in under 30 minutes and charged $550 for that work. Total bill was $750, for 30 minutes of work. $1,500 an hour. He preys on the vulnerable when there is an emergency. ***** doing business with these guys.

Business response:

Hello ******,Thank you for you for your feed back. We have been in business for over 35 years and value every customers feedback and look into all our jobs to make sure they are done correctly and priced per company pricing standards. We looked at this call and its appears our Tech. picked the wrong task for this type of repair. Sometimes this happens because there are a lot of similar task and he could easily click on the wrong one. Our office is making a correction and will send an email to the person we have on file.

Called to get a small leak on the outside spigot fixed. You pay an upfront fee of $89 which gets waived if you proceed with the work (seems fair at first).I was quoted $498.75 for a 30-45min job. When I asked for a breakdown the answer was (labor and parts). This would have been a small pipe and new spigot ($15 part cost at **** so would have paid around $480 ... resulting in $900+ hourly rate ???Answer was: " this is our rate card ... "Enquire IN ADVANCE of what a certain job would cost before you pay $89 to hear something ... read more

Hello ***, Thank you for your feedback. I looked into your job and saw the pictures of your front hose **** faucet which appeared to be pretty old and in need of replacement. Our cost was to go inside your crawl space to cut out the old water line and faucet. We would then install a new shut off valve inside your crawl space, along with a new hose **** faucet securely mounted to you brick exterior wall. I noticed the existing one was not mounted and just sticking out of the wall. The shut off valve that we put in the crawl s... read more

***** was very rude on my call to request service. We have a 10K + job and her response was incredibly negative to the point we got service elsewhere. Not very accommodating at all. I absolutely do not recommend this business.

Business response:

We are sorry you were unhappy with your experience. Our goal is to provide superior customer service. if you want to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out to the office manager and discuss this further.

I recently hired Plumb Works ******* to repair a burst pipe, now just 1 month later their replacement pipe failed and now I have no water due to shutoff from city.I paid $600 for the work of Plumb Works, which was supposed to provide a lasting fix, and it included a thorough inspection ($100). The inspection meant nothing as the supposed fix was only a bandaid. If more work was required for a lasting fix, why would the inspection not have revealed that and informed me?Even worse, I was lead on to believe that the inspection/... read more

I hired Plumb Works to install three faucets and a replacement garbage disposal. The plumber charged $110 more to install the exact same bath faucet as installed in another bath. He said that the rubber seal on the pop-up of the new faucet was leaking, that he did not have any washers that size with him, and that Plumb Works would locate a thicker washer to install and charge yet another service fee for the installation. When I did not hear back from them after ten days, I hired a handyman who assessed the washer was fine an... read more

Business response:

**** I looked into your invoice to address your comments for the faucet installation prices for your bathroom faucets. The higher price is our standard cost to install these faucets. Because you had multiple faucets he installed that 2nd. bathroom faucet at a discounted price. I'm sorry to hear about that leak on the bathroom drain assembly. I looked at the picture and it is a little different then your standard lav. drain. Regardless, we should have been ******** the issue. If you email the invoice from the handy man I will... read more

Decided to replace my Ruud Water heater that had been in service for 23 years. Called PlumbWorks because they were listed by Ruud as an installer and have done work for my neighbor. Called and asked 2 questions. Do you install Ruud and do you take away old heater? Yes to both, so I set up an appointment. A plumber came the same day and when I stated that I wanted to have a Ruud unit installed I was told that Ruud no longer manufactured water heaters. Should have stopped then, but went ahead and got a quote which I thought wa... read more
