Deep-dish pizza is synonymous with Chicago and at Pizzeria Uno, the kitchen claims to have invented the famous pie. Lou Malnati may disagree, but nonetheless Pizzeria Uno has played a big part in Chicago culinary history. The pizzeria has since moved around the country as a franchise, but this location is the first. On weekends and during busy summer events, the wait time to get a table can be long, up to two hours sometimes, but it is worth it. The one-of-a-kind crust, loaded thick with toppings make the pizza very hearty; ... read more

Best pizza, best prices – Okay, I've only eaten at the downtown pizzeria a few times, but am a regular at Uno's in Schaumburg. Not only will you find the best pizza at Uno's, but also the best burger, huge and juicy, the best skinless baked potatoes and the most succulent chicken gorgonzola. The menu is eclectic, the atmosphere is warm and attractive, and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. You won't find a better casual meal for the price, whatever your taste.
User review by orchardlane – i first went to uno's in 1966 after a rolling stones concert. the people who brought me there made it a regular stop almost every trip to chicago. since then i have introduced uno's to my wife,my children, parents, relatives and numerous friends of my four children. every time we go to a concert or a ball game in chicago, uno's is always a regular stop. sometime there is a wait, but you mingle with the other people waiting and have a beer or whatever. the best pizza anywhere around.
Got to try the original – For starters I'd like to say that I'm not a fan of deep dish. The crust is just too filling and I'd rather eat toppings. That said, I had to try the original deep dish since I was in Chicago on business. I still don't like all that crust but Uno's was a great pie. It was cooked well and tasted good. My small pizza weighed a few pounds but much of it was from good quality toppings. The other Uno's I've tried around the country don't measure up. If in Chicago, you owe it to yourself to try the origina... read more
Ohhh Yessss!!! – I absolutely LOVE Pizzeria Uno!! The best pizza I have ever had with the absolute freshest ingrediants!!! I have lived in Chicago all my life and I have never had pizza that has measured up to them!!!
Worst Pizza – We heard about this famouse place and was so excited to try the deep dish pizza here. First night we couldn't get in because it took more than 2 hours to wait. We went back the next evening at 4:30pm and wait about an hour to get a table. Turn out their pizza was really really bad. The pizza sauce and crust was tastless. We ordered a small one and couldn't even finish it. urgggg...g We wait for about an hour for this bad pizza, not going back ever again. The service is pretty good though.
WARNING-THIS AIN'T DOMINO'S – If you have never had a real deep dish pizza, this one may surprize you!!! My dad used to bring home Uno's back in the 70's when I was a kid and it was the best even then. It is an unusual mix of ingredients unlike anything in the Chicago area. Friends of mine fight over the best Chicago Pizzeria, some say My Pie, Some Home Run Inn, Some Gino's and others Giordano's...there are alot of great ones in Chicago. But for unusual richness in every bit from the crust to the sauce to that awesome homema... read more
Yuk !!! – Visited Chicago many times and love the city. We wanted to try some authentic Chicago style pizza....we waited in line for over an hour because we were told this was the best. What a disappointment and a waste of money. My whole family agreed, the pizza was awful. Canned tomatoes and greasy sausage is not my idea of good.
Best of the Best – All I can say is that there is no better pizza on the planet. Those who knock it down must be owners or employees of the competition conspiring against it. Unos Rules when it comes to pizza and atmosphere. Leave enough time to enjoy the whole experience and live a little.
User review by akaymiss – My husband and I make sure to make a special visit to Pizzeria Uno when we visit the Chicago area! The pizza is awesome!!!!! It is my favorite of the Chicago style pizza family!
