On January 14th 2017 I took my sick dog rylie to this emergency dept the were very compassionate and understanding. They went over our options unfortunately she had to be put down due to a large tumor the were very caring I would highly recommend this place to anyone
My husband and I cannot be more grateful for the care our sweet golden, Bodie received from Joy in oncology. Bodie has since passed but I was so touched that Joy gave him such amazing care while he was here.
I am beyond grateful for the care and kindness by the oncology department and specifically Dr. Anderson and her vet tech, Sue that was shown to my family and our german shepherd, Rocky. In August, Rocky was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in the roof of his mouth that ate away a portion of his bone. Although there was not a lot of options available due to the location of the tumor, Dr. Anderson put Rocky on a treatment plan that kept him pain-free as long as possible, and with us much longer than we expected. Sad to say we went on Xmas eve, but the staff was fabulous, they made our visit comfortable and took our feelings into great consideration. They made us a clay paw print, notified our regular vet of our pets death, and they mailed a sympathy card to us a few days later. I was pleased with the facility.
Our cat Elvis is currently at PVSEC for a surgery to remove a gall stone. We noticed a week before that he wasn't drinking or eating. I took him to our vet whom put him on antiboitics and fluids to try and bring him around. We tried this and when he wasn't getting better we brought him to PVSEC and they found the gall stone blockage. We are praying he comes out of the surgery doing well. The staff have been awesome so far.
Overall my experience has been good but the level of immaturity among the desk staff and techs are beyond ridiculous.
We ended up here when one of my dog had fluid around her lungs. After some tests, it was determined she had a condition called chylothorax. She was already in discomfort at that point, and our best option was surgery to hopefully fix the problem. Throughout the entire process, every staff member we met with was very kind and understanding. After she was admitted and we were waiting for the diagnosis, I spent an entire day there and the staff made sure I had a quiet space to sit with my Zelda and relax between medication dose... read more
Went with my friend to see a cardiologist Dr Anderson , she was awesome and was happy to give my friend good news. Axel 5 m is healthy and no heart issues !! Everyone was from check in to checking out were very nice :)
We live in Fort Hill, Pa and made the trip to PVSEC with our 15 year old English Setter for evaluation of large tumor on her liver that showed up on ultrasound. From the first person we spoke with at the desk, triage staff, emergency doc to the surgeons calling today with pre and post surgical report with the good new that the tumor was on the spleen not the liver I can only say wonderful things..our baby girl has a new lease on life..thank you PVSEC
