Arrived yesterday, lovely place to stay, very clean, well equipped and central to Kirkwall. Would definitely recommend.
Very handy for Kirkwall town centre, a short walk. Also handy to drive to east Mainland and to Scapa beach. Local supermarkets well stocked, lots of local produce available from shops on Main Street - use these. Inganess beach great for swimming. Scapa beach for dog walking. Fabulous ancient sites at Steness. Looking forward to more visits.
Lovely cottage right in Kirkwall - the exterior is quaint and old-fashioned, but the interior is fully modernised and up to date, with all modern cons. I really appreciated the separate parking space and the fact that it was only a few minutes walk into town, or a few minutes walk out to the country trails.
