I am a two time survivor. I interviewed multiple surgeons in the Los Angeles area the first time I was diagnosed. Dr. Kristi Funk at Pink Lotus Breast Center made a significant impression when she said that my Breast was going to look great after it healed. No other doctor mentioned this at all. Dr. Kristi Funk is truly gifted and always striving to excel in her field. The patient is always her priority. When you are sick, sad, scared, angry and motivated to heal, Dr. Kristi Funk and her staff are there for you. Dr. Funk and the team at Pink Lotus want to make certain you receive the best care possible. She spent a lot of time explaining to me what my treatment plan would be (and made sure I brought along a friend who would take notes for me). She helped me put together the team of doctors I would need to see, made sure to fax my diagnosis report to each of them in time for any appointments, and monitored my progress throughout. Dr. Funk also recommended outside services that would help me avoid potential problems that commonly arise post-treatment. I have been able to share this information with other friends being treated with cancer who did not receive it from their own care providers. Thanks to Dr. Funk’s “Funk Buddy” program, I have also been able to share my experience with patients of hers that have received diagnoses similar to mine.

After 2 years under the care of Dr. Funk, I cannot use enough words to thank her for her amazing care. From the start of my diagnosis for breast cancer through two surgeries, mammograms and follow up up care visits, Dr Funk has been amazing. She is not only a brilliant oncologist surgeon but she possesses the best bedside manners one could wish for when going through a diagnosis of breast cancer. She is clear in her explanations, patient, reassuring and compassionate and kind. Under her care I feel physically cared for but she also makes me feel like a normal person and not just a cancer survivor. Thank you Dr. Funk. Her staff is always professional, kind and cheerful. I met Kristi Funk when I was first diagnosed with Breast Cancer late last year. I knew immediately that I had made the right choice for my breast surgeon. Kristi was very thorough in explaining everything, and at the same time, she was extremely calm and nurturing. She spent as much time as I needed with her, and her follow up after surgery was also great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kristi Funk. I have decided to continue seeing her for regular checkups to monitor my situation, even though I have to drive quite a distance. I was lucky to have such a great partner fighting for me in my battle.
