From the first hug Dr. Funk gave me 9 years ago, to the visit I had with her just last week, I have had such a positive experience. Dr. Funk and the Pink Lotus Breast Center provide superior care with compassion!

Pink Lotus Breast Center is amazing, and not only is Dr. Krisit Funk incredibly smart and on top of her field, she's also compassionate and a tremendously gifted surgeon, a true artist. I am 48, fit and active. I got diagnosed with early stage breast cancer last December, detected on my annual mammogram/ultrasound (also done at Pink Lotus). One year later, and I can't even see the lumpectomy scar. Dr. Funk's work and her artistry are really THAT good. If anything, the side that had cancer looks better than the other now. In the swirl of first being diagnosed last year, I was amazed at how swiftly the staff at Pink Lotus was able to schedule and complete all the follow-up steps, including genetic testing and the lumpectomy itself. Dr. Funk and her staff truly understand how stressful a cancer diagnosis is, particularly the waiting and uncertainty. They got me test results as quickly as they had them, calling with updates when they came in. I deeply appreciated their outreach. Jacquelyn was incredibly helpful in setting up and coordinating all aspects of the imaging, surgery and all the follow-up until now. The staff in the surgery center itself were caring, helpful, warm. Throughout the entire process, I felt an individual, not a number or a digital image. I feel so very grateful to have found Dr. Funk, to be under her care. She's truly an incredible doctor with a vision for how things can and should be in cutting edge medicine and patient care.

Going through breast cancer is not easy no matter what stage. Doctors, surgeries, appointments and understanding procedures. Your doctors become part of your life. I was very lucky when Pink Lotus Breast Center was recommended to me. Dr Funk and the staff at Pink Lotus became an important part of my life and I am thankful. Dr Funk provided me with all of my options (surgeries, radiation etc) and recommended other specialists to interview so I could make decisions that worked for me. I have been cancer free for 4 years have have never regretted my decision to put my trust in Pink Lotus. I will continue to visit them yearly for hopefully a very long time.

I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer two years ago by a breast surgeon at Cedars-Sinai. Doing my due diligence, I received a second opinion from Dr. Funk at Pink Lotus and a third opinion from the co-director of breast oncology and surgery at City of Hope. All doctors had the same diagnosis and similar treatment plans. All are skilled surgeons with great credentials. Throughout the process, only Dr. Funk reassured me that I will survive this. When you are diagnosed with cancer, the first thing that comes to mind is am I going to die of this and who will take care of my toddler? Only Dr. Funk addressed this, she understands. Additionally, the surgeon at Cedars confirmed that my nipple will not be saved during surgery as the tumor was right behind my nipple. Dr. Funk, who ended up performing my lumpectomy was able to save my nipple with good margins all around. Upon diagnosis, saving a nipple is not something you think about - you just want the cancer out. But Dr. Funk wanted to save my nipple as when all surgeries are done with, you want to look and feel as normal as possible. She was right! I absolutely made the right decision in choosing Dr. Funk to be my surgeon. Because at the end of the day, you want someone who has mastered her craft and who truly is rooting for you.

Dr. Funk and her staff are the absolute best! Dr. Funk always takes her time, and is so caring. Her staff is very quick to respond and are very helpful. Jacquelyn is wonderful! I highly recommend Dr. Funk....she's the best!

I searched far and wide for all the doctors' on "my team". It was within seconds I heaved a breath of air and knew I was in the right hands at my first visit. It is with the utmost care, sensitivity, knowledge and skill that Dr. Funk seems to naturally link together to treat her patients (we have more than one family member in her care). This cannot be overlooked when looking for the right physician. If you have confidence in your doctor(s) then you are personally active in your care.
