Going through breast cancer is not easy no matter what stage. Doctors, surgeries, appointments and understanding procedures. Your doctors become part of your life. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer two years ago by a breast surgeon at Cedars-Sinai. Doing my due diligence, I received a second opinion from Dr. Funk at Pink Lotus and a third opinion from the co-director of breast oncology and surgery at City of Hope. I searched far and wide for all the doctors' on "my team". It was within seconds I heaved a breath of air and knew I was in the right hands at my first visit.
