I told my dear friend that I needed a biopsy and that I couldn't get in any earlier than 2 wks. She said "you have to go to Pink Lotus and get an appointment with Dr. Kristi Funk. She's the best". Dr Funk is a ROCK STAR! I originally met Dr Funk almost 8 years ago when a close friend was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Little did I know that 4 years later, I would also be diagnosed with this terrible disease. My first phone call was to Dr Funk. I highly recommend Pink Lotus Breast Center for any woman needing regular mammograms for breast health or needs an amazing breast cancer surgeon. Crystal, the Ultrasound Tech was very thorough and had a great bedside manner. Dr. Kristi Funk is a highly skilled, thorough and supportive surgeon. She makes sure you are properly informed of all of your surgical options and helps you develop a treatment plan that is perfect for you! Each time I visit the Pink Lotus Breast Center, I have a wonderful experience!
Being a man I was a bit uncomfortable about showing up at a breast clinic. I had an annoying and constant pain in my left nipple and It concerned me and I was urged to see Dr. Funk. The entire experience was terrific. Humour and clarity abounded, Not only was I made to feel not awkward in the situation, but Dr. Funk clearly explainef the possibilities of my situation, examined me and did a biopsy. Fortunately it turned out negative. All in all, I would highly recommend Dr. Funk… even to the guys!
I can't say enough about the Pink Lotus Breast Center. Susan, the nurse practitioner was wonderful. She spent so much time with me answering my questions. I always feel like I am in such good hands when I am there. You truly feel cared about. I also love that for most screenings they don't make you wait for results. I now live in Northern California and still travel to LA for appointments at the Pink Lotus Center. Thank you, Dr. Funk for creating this space.
Wonderful experience visiting ,staff very professional and educated and Doctor Funk is highly certified in her field of breast care she will continue to be my doctor for future visits and care I need as follow ups for breast cancer.
Dr Funk is great, as is her staff. "Impersonal" is not in their vocabulary.
Dr. Funk was there for me at my lowest point and she had me at hello. With a frightening very new breast cancer diagnosis, she saw me pretty much immediately, and when she walked into the room with her big smile and expert advice, I immediately felt in safe hands. She walked us through my findings, surgery options, and ultimately helped my husband and I formulate my surgery plan. Dr. Funk performed my double mastectomy and nipple sparring surgery and I had zero problems. I only see her every 6 months now and I'm secretly sad... read more
She's absolutely the most caring, warm-hearted doctor I have ever seen. I needed a diagnostic ultrasound and she performed it herself and she made me feel so comfortable and at peace, I'm so grateful that it wasn't anything serious. She's truly a blessing✨
