The entire mountain top is one big construction project. They don't tell you anything about it when you pay $30 at the bottom. You have to take a shuttle to the summit because all the construction workers are parking their cars up there. All the workers were on lunch break and took literally all the seats in the cafeteria. No where to sit and eat the famous donuts I heard about but didn't get to enjoy. No accommodations are made for handicapped people who have to climb in and out of shuttles. Never felt so ripped off by a Na... read more

Unfortunately, there was a LOT of construction at the peak that won’t be done until next year. But the views on the way up were incredible. Lots of places available to pull off and look around. Wildlife everywhere! Fantastic shuttle staff. Very friendly and educational.

First off I am scared of heights. I found out how scared I was on August 11th. I couldn't look out the window. I used my cell phone and took a video. The mountain is very beautiful. We were amazed by it all. I will be back but not to the top.
