Warning though...if you are driving up and if you are scared driving to mile marker 13 get on the shuttle as 13 to 16 will be terrifying. We never made it to the top as myself and granddaughters were so shaken.

Incredible! Must try the donuts at the summit. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy.

All I can say is wow. Absolutely breathtaking. Every single moment, from the drive bottoms to top, is absolutely breathtaking. However, Be absolutely prepared to go to the top. Wear extra layers of clothes and jackets. Temperature on the day I arrived went from 74 at gates to 25 degrees at the peak. Also buy small portable oxygen tanks available at nearby stores because the air is very thin. Only lasted 5 minutes since my group was getting light headed. But overall, it was beyond worth it.

My 2 year old was refused entry into the Chrystal Mill gift center because she cannot (and should not) wear a mask per the CDC guidelines. They won't be getting any more of my money.

I lived in Colo Springs & Woodland Park for 10 years!!! In 1977 from NJ! My heart is still there!!
