RecommendedIt's just awesome we went in April to visit family and all I wanted to do on my vacation was drive up Pikes Peak. For the whole week it was closed at the top because of the snow but on the last day of vacation it was open all the way up. I loved it would do it again for sure wife not so much lol.

Views are phenomenal! So many pull-offs to enjoy the sights. Mandatory break check on the way down for safety.

DO GET BACK IN DIRT ROAD FOR BIKING TO THE TOP AND PAVED THE BAR TRAIL FOR BIKERS.
The Peaceful Beautiful view from the top. It was breath taking. Also the soup and coffee at 1/2 way point cafe.

The drive up can be intimidating but well worth it once you arrive ANYWHERE near summit or summited! Breathtaking views in a clear day, gift shops and eateries with exploring.
