Good choice in the neighborhood – This is a good pic in the Rittenhouse area for a very satisfying meal. Generous portions abound--definitely plan on bringing home extras. It's a good choice for a group of people; you can even order family-sized pasta bowls and make out very inexpensively. Service is generally adequate-to-very good, generally much more pleasant than at several other Italian eateries in th... read more
Great food at affordable price – Went with a party of 6, on sat night. Great calamari and pasta! Price was less than 15$ per person! HIGHLY recommended!
Good – I thought this was perhaps the best pizza I've had in Philly (Mind you I have not eaten at every place on the top ten list.) I like Lombardi's around the corner but have found it in consistent. Sometimes it's great but others its bland. This pizza had all the basics covered. Flavorful sauce, fresh mozzarella, and the chicken was not dry. I definitely come back. It can also accomodate large parties.
Try the salads – The pizza is good, but not as good as nearby's Lombardi'. However, the salads are wonderful, all of them are worth a try. Get the family size and share with your friends, especially the Caesar with shaved romano cheese slices on top. Great balsamic dressing. And yummy warm rolls to go with. The service can be slow, but nice atmosphere and good food at reasonable prices make up for it.
